Coping Skillz

There are many ways to cope with stressful things in life. Coping is defined as: (of a person) deal effectively with something difficult.(Oxford dictionary) When you are on a mission to understand yourself, you start to learn about coping skills. Coping is the way in which we handle our stress and anxiety. For everyone it will look different. In this blog, I will be going over ways that will help you to find coping skills that works for you.

Coping is one of the things that if you dont have this as you are learning and understanding yourself on a deeper level, it can make you feel like you are taking one step forward and 10 steps backwards. You may not ever feel as if the pain will pass. Understanding things you may like when you are in a position of not knowing or being interested in anything can pose a challenge for you. One thing that was noticed, is as you start to open up is, it can become very overwhelming and full of anxiety. Here are some coping skills that you may not even have noticed were a coping skills.

Coping is a way to also distract and slow down our emotional reactions and responses. Going through this process, thinking this stuff doesnt actually work, was a joke that was unfunny. These skills can help us open up emotionally and become vulnerable with those we wish to have connection with. It helps us become closer to ourselves and who we want to be. At times we dont realize that, if we dont know what can calm us down, we will continue the same patterns and habits that caused the pain.
